The cheapest training in Thailand is not at the cheapest camps, it is in the regions with the lowest cost of living. Where you go matters more than which package you buy.

Chalong, Phuket / Mid-size camp
Mid-sized Chalong camp with a reputation for a friendly, less intimidating atmosphere than the larger complexes nearby. A reasonable first camp for someone nervous about walking into a hard gym.
Wrong customer
These are not bad camps. They are camps where you would be the wrong customer, which is a different and more useful thing to know.
Chalong, Phuket / Large camp
The largest and best-known training complex in Thailand, running Muay Thai alongside a full MMA and BJJ programme. Big enough that you can always find training partners at your level, and structured enough that a total beginner is never left guessing. The trade-off is scale: it feels like a fitness resort rather than a Thai gym, and it is priced accordingly.
Bang Tao, Phuket / Mid-size camp
Based on the north-west coast near Bang Tao beach rather than in the southern camp cluster, which changes the whole trip: quieter beaches, more of a resort setting, longer drive to the Chalong and Rawai scene.
Pattaya, Pattaya / Large camp
Large resort-style training centre attached to the best-known equipment brand in the sport, with on-site accommodation and food. Polished and self-contained, which is either the appeal or the drawback depending on what you came for.
