Gym language
Namman muay
น้ำมันมวย
Thai boxing liniment or oil
What it means
The heating liniment Thai fighters rub into their legs and shoulders before training. It warms the muscle and it is the smell you will associate with every gym you set foot in.
It is applied before a session rather than after, and it is not a substitute for warming up properly.
It stings badly on broken skin and worse in your eyes, so wash your hands before wrapping or touching your face.
